Windows NLB with FWSM

Hi

Understand from below article that we need to create an static arp record to make NLB work in multicast mode:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps708/products_configuration_example09186a0080a07203.shtml

However if the routing is done in FWSM, it seems able to complete the arp request so the static arp record is not necessary, also the routing is done in hardware even though "the incoming packets have a unicast  destination IP address and multicast destination MAC", may someone confirm on that?

Thanks and Regards,

Leo

I can confirm that the FWSM does not need the static arp entry. We are running 3.2(22)
