Wireless Packets Question

Is it possible to capture other people's wireless packets? Because compared to wire packets, wireless packets are just flying around right? If possible, how can I capture? Also how can I prevent other people capturing my wireless packets?

Yes, you can. That is why you should use wireless encryption (wpa2/aes). You should also be careful when using open wireless networks,

You can capture wireless traffic using wireshark and aircap .

you cannot really prevent others from capturing your traffic. You only protection is to ensure you encrypt sensitive traffic
