WS-6724-SFP Hardware version 2.0 and 5.0 with DOM

Hi Folks

Somebody can let me know what's differrence on WS-6724-SFP between hardware version 2.0 and 5.0 with DOM. I would like to monitor the TX and RX power on each interface but WS-6724-SFP with hardware revision 2.0 can't shown that information. I tried to find out all information and found Cisco Gigabit Ethernet Transceiver Modules Compatibility Matrix (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/transceiver_modules/compatibility/matrix/OL_6981.html ) it's say WS-6724/WS-6748 not support (support DOM but can't show power budget). I agree on the document but my customer show me on thier device they have WS-6724-SFP with hardware revision 5.0 which can show power budget including TX and RX as information below;

Example on WS-6724-SFP hardware revision 2.0 (many SFP with DOM insert into slot 1)

Hostname#sh module

  3   48  48-port 10/100/1000 RJ45 EtherModule   WS-X6148A-GE-TX    SAL1223T6Z4

Te10/4     30.4       0.00      41.4      -1.5      -3.5           ( it's display only TenGigE on slot 10 but not for slot 1)

I would like to know only WS-67xx-SFP with hardware revision 5.0 can monitor power budget or what is the issue?

Thx

DOM was not supported until hardware version 5, based on all information I can locate online. Nothing directly from Cisco on the reference sheet unfortunately.

Wanted to update and confirm, HW v 3.1 or higher will work. We have yet to locate a WS-X6748-SFP of those revisions in the wild, only the WS-X6724-SFP at this time. Cisco documentation states not supported, however that doesn't appear entirely true.
