We have a WS-C3560E-12D which is experiencing intermittent issues (in particular every few months it complains of extreme temperatures on one particular slot (only a few of the slots are in use so difficult to know if they would also be affected), ranging from -144C to +100and above C and sometimes it shuts the port down. We have replaced the X2 10G SR module a few times now and the problem reappears eventually.
My question is are all slots on that switch on the same backplane, in other words is it worth us using another slot if this is a backplane issue?
