WS-C3750X to stack with other WS-C3750

Hi,

Customer had purchase WS-C3750X series switch and they try to stack with existing switch WS-C3750 series. Is it workable? I try to do a stack in my lab, but it not able to work. My WS-C3750X is running in LAB base and WS-C3750 is running in IP base. Can this 2 different model switch stack in 1? Anyone can share on this?

Yes. It's possible.

If your plain 3750 only has 16 mb flash then the highest you can go is 12.2(55)SE.

Depending on what the model of 3750X, your plain 3750 must be upgraded to 12.2(53)SE2 and later. The 3750X will need to use Universal IOS with IP Base license level.

3750X is running LAN Base license? Can you post the command output of "sh license" please?

But i had downgrade 3750X to 12.4 IP base. is it still control by license? This 3750X is in LAN base license.

Your 3750X is running LAN Base. This is feature set is NOT the same to IP Base. So you need to contact Cisco or authorized reseller so you can get the license key/PAK to upgrade to IP Base.
