WS-C4006 SupIII Module

Dear Support,

We have WS-C4006 SupIII Module Switch IOS 12.18a, we have just received a new batch of PCs and notice we don't received an IP address on boot up from our DHCP Server. The DHCP Server is on the same VLAN as the PCs. Also we have a policy server which can't push out the setting to the PCs. Can you please advise if this issue is related to port fast. Thanks for your help in advance.

Robert,

You should enable portfast on all PC ports. Portfast will allow the port to immediately go to the forwarding spanning tree state. If your problem is caused by portfast being disabled you will be able to use ipconfig /renew from the PC command line, and get an address.
