WS-C4507R+E+IP PIM SM DM mode configuratin problem

Hi All,

 I trying to configure ip pim sm or ip pim dm in core swith for iptv but its not taking the commands ip multicast-routing is enabled.

Vlan 30:

Can you post "show version" and "show module" output of the concerned switch here?

If you notice in show version, you are using lanbase license...

License Information for 'WS-X45-SUP7-E'
    License Level: lanbase   Type: Default. No valid license found.
    Next reboot license Level: lanbase

So, you surely wont be able to run pim on the switch with just lanbase license, as it will have limited features in lanbase. Try to use entservices, you should be able to enable pim after that.

hi ,

Yes you will have to, you can still enable license on the switch for trial, but will get truned off after 80 days or so.

You can use show license all command to check if you can enable it temporarily.
