WS-C4510R-E - Bypassing Startup Configuration via ROMMON

Hello,

I would like to know how to bypass startup configuration for WS-C4510R-E model switches.

I am able to access ROMMON. Where do I go from here?

Again I need the instructions for WS-C4510R-E specifically as they are different from the WS-C4500s I have previously inquired about.

Okay so I was able to set the confreg to 0x2142 using the following prompt choices:

rommon 13 >confreg

Configuration Summary :
=> diagnostic mode
=> use net in IP bcast address
=> load rom after netboot fails
=> use all zero broadcast
=> ignore system config info
=> console baud: 9600
=> autoboot from: commands specified in 'BOOT' environment variable

do you wish to change the configuration? y/n [n]: y
disable "diagnostic mode"? y/n [n]: y

You must reset or power cycle for new configuration to take effect

Wish me luck.

In ROMMON, enter the following:

confreg 0x2142

And then reboot.

When the switch boots into OS, do not forget to reset the config-registry back to the correct settings of either 0x2101 or 0x2102.

Did not work.

Type control-C to prevent autobooting.
. . . . .

******** The system will autoboot now ********

config-register = 0x2102
Autobooting using BOOT variable specified file.....

Could not find a valid file in BOOT environment variable.
BOOT variable can be set from IOS. To find currently set
Rom Monitor variables, please type 'set' command.

For help on choosing a boot method, type 'confreg' command.
