WS-C4948 IOS upgrade from12.2(25)EWA14 to 15x

Hi all,

I have been asked if we can upgrade our 4948 from 12.2(25)EWA14 to 15x. I have looked at the release notes but finding it hard to determine if we are able to jump straight from 12.2(25)EWA14 to 15x as the naming convention changes greatly and unsure if we could say go to 15.0.2-SG10.

Below is a show version.  Any help or if there is a tool I can use would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Your existing IOS
BASIC L3 3DES (RIP,ST.ROUTERS,IPX,AT) 
cat4000-i9k91s-mz.122-25.EWA14.bin

You can upgrade to
IP BASE SSH
cat4500-ipbasek9-mz.150-2.SG10.bin

It would also be advisable to upgrade your ROMMON software before you upgrade the IOS
Rommon upgrade for cat4500 K2 platforms. Resolves CSCtr65301

Hi

Do you know where i can get this 15 ios? because i can't find it in support downloads.

The switch i have is a WS-C4510R Version 12.2(25)EWA10 that does not support SLA Tracking, and in the version 15 it's supported and i need it.

Any advice?

Hi,

You mention that your switch is a WS-4510R but you did not state your supervisor engine model like sup-2 etc.

So try this link (you need to sign in with your CCO account):-

Then choose your supervisor from the right hand side, then IOS software
