WS-X6748-GE-TX support with WS-6506-E Support

I am trying to use WS-X6748-GE-TX Line card module in one of my WS-6506-E chassis. When I insert the card it gives me below error message on console

I have tried inserting the card in different slots (1-4) but all are showing the same message. I even tried with the different 6506-E chassis but still it did't come up. I have already gone through the datasheet and as per it should support with all 6500 chassis with some limitations with (6503 & 6513). As per my below software it should support.

Now I want to verify either this is really compatible with 6506-E or what can be the possible cause ?

None of your modules are up in that chassis.

What about the other 6506-E chassis you tried, were any modules up in that ?

What power supplies and fan trays do you have in the chassis ?

Hi,

Your WS-X6748-GE-TX module contains WS-F6K-DFC4-A daughter card which is not compatible with SUP720 (this is considered to be an "upgrade" to the original DFC3 daughter card).

At the "supervisor engine support" line of the table you can see the note as follows:

Note WS-X6748-GE-TX modules that have a CFC daughter card or are upgraded with DFC4-A or DFC4-AXL daughter cards are supported only on the Supervisor Engine 2T.

Not even sure I ever knew that about the DFC4 and sup2T :-)
