2651XM w/MFT-E1 & AIM-VOICE-30

I have a 2651XM-V router equipped with a MFT-E1 card and a AIM-VOICE-30 module.

I would like to use this router at a central site connected to a PABX via the E1 and group the timeslots for different types for eg. i want the first 4 timelsots for E&M signaling and the next 4 timeslots for FXO signaling to connect to two remote sites one with 1760-V router with E&M--PABX and the other with a 1760-V router with FXS ports.

Can any one point me to a document that explains how this can be achieved? Or if you have had some experience with this type of setup, pls assist.

Hope i safely assume you are doing CAS. So when you create ds0-groups for e&M and FXO then subsequent voice port will be created. Once that is done, you can either create connection plar/trunk to map the voice ports from central site to remote site.

yes i'm using CAS. thanks i managed to find a document which which explains how to create ds0-groups and configuring the voice ports. Only thing is when i create e&m groups i can't change the operation or type settings on the voice port as these options are not available. By default its operation 2-wire type 1.

Yes thats correct you wont be able to change. This command is only for analog E&M port. Not digital port.
