Hi, everybody ,
Is there any way or it's possible to expand the 4 x microphone base XLR that comes with C60 . I have one customer that needs connect 7 X mics . I know also that C90 allow 8 audi inputs mics . Is there any expansion cables or something like that to connect more mics?
Best Regards.

You won't be able to feed them all in directly to the codec. You'll need to use a mixer to take multiple mic signals in and mix them to a shared output in to the codec.
We do this in a number of our installations - take many mics in and feed them in as a single mic to the codec (as well as taking other mic mixes to other systems). Usually we use Biamp Nexia or Biamp AudiaFLEX DSPs, but we're investigating the Biamp Tesira range for some of our larger buildings/installations.

Look for an external mic mixers from
Simple Mic Mixers
Shure SCM800
Audio Technica AT-MX831
Full DSP Systems
Extron DSP 128
ClearOne Converge Pro 880
The simple ones just require making the connections and basic setting while the full DSP will handle AEC, AGC, Feedback Control and other suond processing functions but would require someone with some knowledge to configure.
Even though you may be tempted to use a lower cost 5 port mic mixer and then use some of the ports on the C60, I would reccomend against it. It is easier to control and manage AEC and Feedback if all mics are coming from one source and connected to one mic input on the CODEC.

We use ClearOne Converge DSPs with our fully integrated codecs, as Lawrence notes above a full DSP has some good audio processing depending on what you want to accomplish. We have C40s in all of our rooms, our conference rooms have up to 7 microphones in the largest one, and our classrooms have up to 7-10 regular microphone + 12 ceiling microphones depending on the room.
