Blocking calls on Expressway - HELP

Hi All

I am having real issues blocking inbound calls coming from 1000@ on my expressway E.

I have put in lots of rules from 1000@.* to anywhere, but it does not work. It even says call rejected on the logs but yet when I test my phone still rings.

Why is this?

I see that the rules have also auto generated a cpl file, nothing I do seems to block the 1000 coming in. Has anyone managed to solve this?

Why does it say call rejected but yet the device still rings?

cheers

Hi,

I would recommend checking out the following Cisco Live presentations or also the recorded sessions:

BRKCOL-2018 (from Cisco Live in Barcelona 2018 or 2019 or from more recent years)

BRKUCC-2801 - Appendix F (from Cisco Live in Barcelona 2020)

Also maybe this post helps: https://community.cisco.com/t5/ip-telephony-and-phones/spam-calls-expressway-e/m-p/4483242

There are a lot of resource, on how to design the dial-plan on Expressway.

Starting with the zone configuration and then going to CPL's and Search rules.
