During last videoconference is started to produce occasional very short glitch when top half of image is okay and other one is.. not (sorry, not that good in english).
Users report that local image, seen on second display has same problem, so it is not network related.
System uptime is 5 days.
Is there some log message i could look for? Is it known bug or hardware failure?

Hi,
We can check if it's a bug or not or a failure and for that we need confirm more information.
1 - Is the issue reproducible?
2 - Please check self-view is working fine and happening in call or in self-view?
Codec is running on TCNC4.X.X so we can do a software upgrade to either TCNC5.X.X or TCNC6.X.X.

1. it happens "sometimes", it's not a constantly repeated glitch
2. It is seen in self view
Do i need release keys to be purchased?

Just upgraded to 5.1.8, had release key on TMS.
Glitch remains.

Yes, that temperature is fine. We have some that run in the high 60s quite constantly. The thermal shutdown temp on these is around the 85 mark.
Do you have another C20 and camera around that you can swap cameras between to see if the issue stays with that particular unit, or follows the camera?

There is one, we'll try to arrange an exchange.

Hi,
Yes we can swap the camera as well however you can also swap the HDMI-HDMI cable between codec and camera if possible.
* You can directly connect the camera with display at HDMI port using a good known HDMI-HDMI cable and test now issue is still there or not?
You can use the codec power supply to give the power to the camera in this test.

We acquired new cam and glitch is gone. Further more - we connected old cam via HDMI to standalone monitor and stared at it for couple days - no one noticed any glitches too.
Is there some counters for HDMI interface like for FastEthernet are?
10-01-2013 04:31 AM
Hi Utair,
There is no such counter for HDMI interface , it may the be that the cable was getting Bad or the interface my be getting some sort of layer due to a longer use.
Thanks

After a while, glitch came back with new camera as well.
It works okay for couple of days then starts showing it. So my guess it's not a cable issue.
10-09-2013 07:09 PM
Is the HDMI cable you are using the same as the one you were originally experiencing issues with, or have you swapped that out as well as the camera?
If it's the same cable, it may be faulty - could be affected by temperature, humidity or movement, whcih would explain the intermittent issue/problem coming back after a number of days - try swapping it out with a new one.

Will try replacing C20 next week.
There is one thing i've noticed, which need further testing - is then no sound produced by system, i.e. then remote party turns off microphone, then there is no glitch.
10-10-2013 01:17 AM
That sounds very much like a faulty cable then. As the video and audio goes over the HDMi cable, there could be some interference between the conductors within the cable. No audio = no interference = no issue. Would definitely look at swapping the cable with a new one.

Changing cables did not help.

You were going to try swapping things. How did you go with swapping the codec and cameras around? Did the issue stay with the codec, or move with the camera?
