Hi all,
We are planning for deploying cisco Telepresence SX 20 in our Head office. So my query is,
1. Is it possible to connect SX20 to skype (which is used in mobile or laptop or tablet or iPad). If possible then how can we connect through IP or user ID??
2. Is it possible to connect SX20 to Cisco jabber. If possible then is it free? or we have to pay for using jabber??
3. Or any other solution suggest to connect SX20 to any portable device like laptop, mobile, tablet, iPad.
Our main requirement is, our MD sir wants to communicate us from abroad via using his mobile, laptop, iPad. Is it possible???
Note that, present we are not using any services like CUCM or CUCME or IP telephony.
Best Regards
Yasib

Skype: No.
Jabber: Yes, but only if you have the correct infrastructure, and since you don't have CUCM, you also don't have Jabber.
JabberVideo: Yes, but you do need the correct infrastructure; TMS, VCS etc.
If this is a one-off, suggest you look at a third-party service such as BlueJeans - if this is an ongoing requirement, then I suggest you take a close look at Acano, Pexip, Ubiety, Videxio, Starleaf, Zoom as well as BlueJeans.

Skype: Yes - but only if it is "Skype for Desktop" running on a Windows device, and you route the call via a Pexip/Acano type solution that uses Skype for Business APIs to link it back in to the Microsoft world. It's not a pretty solution, but it does work.
