We need to Share a folder in WIN2K3 OS of the TMS server for backup purposes. the option to share tab is missing on the folders properties, The file and print sharing in activated ont the network propoerties but Server Service is disabled. is there a reason why Server service is disable by default, is it done on purposes for a good reason or is it OK to turn it on?

Yea, agree with Magnus, even if you have the TMS appliance you can use windows file sharing
or iis to share additional files, but always remember (especially if manging with IIS) its not suported
to use the TMS for something else then TMS.
Did not check if win 2003 has this enabled or disabled by default. Always remember when you add
more services you possibly also add new security issues. So check that your permissions and firewalls
are configured correctly.
Besides that you can also do some scripted ftp or scp upload or use some other backup utils.
