change firmware on 8945 from sccp to sip

Hi,

 how can i change the firmware on a 8945 from sccp to sip? I only have the cme 8.6 and the 8945 are not compatible, so i can not give them the load command for the new firmware.

is there any other possibility to change the firmware?

maybe there is a trick to get the 8945 running on the cme 8.6 ?? :-)

Also, the only option to use a 89xx with cme 8.6 would be as a third party sip endpoint as explined here
