Does anybody know if there is a solution to utilize a CISCO remote control or any third party peripherals, which can control the desktop VTC from farther away without having to physically touch the screen to mute or unmute?

If your DX80 is cloud registered you could possible use webex assistant. Take a look at CE-Deploy tool, you can find it on Github. There is also a Webex space for it: webexteams://im?space=d346c270-339e-11e9-b82e-3d8fc5dfcb12. The developer is in the early stages of a remote tool however not sure if DX80 is supported, but a good resource to have either way.

You can use 3rd Party USB devices to perform some basic functionality on CE based codecs. It's not full control as you would by touching the device itself. Button presses on a remote or a keyboard would trigger events/macros to get the codec to perform a predefined action.
