Hi all, we have a VC setup was done previously. Now we are planning to change the public ip of the Expr-E which got higher bandwidth.

I want to know check list for this change.

>changing the IP addr/natting

>Changing 'a' records and related dns records of Expr-E.

>Generate CSR, sign it with a certificate authority and import them to CUCM.

Anything needed apart from this? and for dns records how many dns records should be changed.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Are you changing the FQDN or just the IP address?

If the FQDN of the servers aren't changing, then why generate new certificates, as you can change the IP that is pointing to the FQDN and you wouldn't event now.

You would need to update all A records to use the new IP address.  You'll also need to update all SRV records for your SIP domain if they are either pointing to the an IP address or if you do change the FQDN, depending on which one they're configured to use.

You'll also need to update the traversal zone on the Expressway-C if you used the IP address of -E the to create the zone.
