CISCO Meeting Server and Office 365 Cloud only deployment (no FE)

Does anybody know if it's possible to integrate CMS with a pure cloud Skype for Business/Lync deployment? We have office 365 and our clients connect directly to the cloud. 

The documentation for 2.1 only talks about on prem deployments with a Lync/Skype Business FE
