Good afternoon,

I'm fairly new to the Cisco Video world and currently coming across a request to downgrade an Cisco MX300 G2 - software version from  CE8 to TC7.3.6, i know this is possible however unfamiliar with the Cisco video commands.  At this time, i don't have http access, so this has to be performed via CLI.

Any assistance is much appreciated!

Thanks in advance and Cheers!

-Diana

You need access to the endpoint's web interface to upload and perform a software upgrade, in your case downgrade.  The option is located under Maintenance > Software Upgrade, refer to the MX300 G2 CE8.2 Admin Guide on pg 53.

If you don't have access to the web interface, you can use the Remote Support user account, see pg 58 in the admin guide, and will require TAC support to activate the account.  Once active, use WinSCP to upload the package to the /tmp folder, then via SSH, run the command: sudo installimage <package name>.

Thank you Patrick!

That's exactly what I ended up doing.  I was having issues accessing the endpoint via https/http and ended up running -

xConfiguration NetworkServices HTTP+HTTPS Mode: On

After HTTP was enabled i was able to follow the rest of the steps you mentioned.

Thanks again for your feedback!

Cheers!
