Cisco Prime Collaboration Manager - Fault Reports

Hi all,

Managed to install CPCM 1.2 - What a change the layout is alot better than previous versions.

I have added our MSE Supervisor blade and I am getting the below error.

CPCM - Alarms - 10.254.12.47 - Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by Logicalis UK.jpg

Supervisor Power shelf fault.

However when I go to the Supervisor blade direct I see this.

Codian MSE Supervisor - Power supplies - Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by Logicalis UK.jpg

Do you think CPCM is picking this up incorrectly as the MSE isnt monitoring the power shelf?

If not looks like I will need to get a case logged with Cisco.

Cheers

Hi Dean

What exact model of MSE is and what version of software you running on it?

Thanks

Rafal

Hello again Dean

I did some checks and I think as you suspect reason for alarm is that MSE is not monitoring power shelf (I'm assuming you have 2 of those and supervisor is not monitoring them via serial cables on MSE itself).

That would be the reason CPCM is assuming power shelf is down.

Another thing is I would suggest for version of supervisor, if its fully supported by CPCM.

Hope that helps.

Thanks
