Cisco SX10 with Jabra Speak 510

Hi smart people :)

So, one of our VPs would like to have a personal VC in his room. He wants to have a 60" TV on a tiltable arm... So I will install a SX10 under the TV. However, he doesn't want the audio to come out of the TV speakers or any attached speakers, he wants the audio to come out of the table..... yes.... table.

When I told him we can install a 360 degree speaker (http://www.samsung.com/us/experience/radiant360/) and Cisco mic next to it he refused... he said he wants something like the Jabra SPEAK 510, which he's using while traveling to join conference calls.

So my question to you is..... is the Jabra SPEAK 510 going to work with the cisco SX10? I know the T10 has 3.5mm port, and two USB ports, can I use that? If not, I will use an audio converter to pair the speaker and mic inputs into one, and connect the Jabra SPEAK 510 into it.

He doesn't want to spend a lot of money on it, but he wants this solution, where he has only the puck on the table... the T10 will live on a wall behind him.

BTW I know the Jabra is compatible with Cisco, for instance EX90, but no word about the SPEAK 510....

Thank you

Sorry, but that won't work. The Speak 510 connects either via bluetooth or USB, neither of which are supported on the SX10. There is no bluetooth on the unit and the USB port is for "future use". The Micro USB is for debugging. The only audio out is a line output via mini jack.

You would need to find some device that can take the line out from the SX10 to bring the audio to the table.

Hi there,

BT has been always out of the question, however, I was looking for something similar to the 510... I got the Speak 510, and it has a 3.5mm headset port... so that has somewhat the capability of supporting 3.5mm... I found a Sennheiser SP20 can do such thing. So I am ordering the SP20 with an audio splitter:

I will provide power via the T10's USB and run en extension cable to the SX10.

I was able to make some crazy setups with the SX10, so this one should be simple, just need to find the correct audio unit.

BTW,

This is the Speak 510 with T10... see attached.

Hi Honza,

Just wondering if its working for you with Jabra Speak and SX 10.

As we do Webex room Kit and would like to do the same for our meeting room.
