Our new Cisco Telepresence MX300 does not recognize the Toshiba Tecra Z40 laptops we use through the port replicator. We are running Windows 7 Professional and are trying to connect via HDMI. The MX300 only recognizes the Tecra Z40 when we undock the laptop and plug the HDMI cable directly into the laptop. Is there a way to make this connection work with the port replicator?

When you say "port replicator" are you talking about an HDMI over Cat5 extender or something like that?
Some devices like these can do strange things with HDCP. Given that Cisco VC equipment is a "transmitting device", if an HDMI source is using content protection, the video stream will shut down. I believe that sometimes these extenders can output a HDCP protected signal even if the source content isn't protected. We've had similar issues, we ended up having to use a different brand of HDMI extender.

Toshiba calls their docking stations "port replicators." The docking station allows for additional connections.

In that case I'm not sure but it could still be HDCP related.
