Cisco TMS

First i'm sorry for my bad english,

i have some problems with understanding what the cisco TMS does. My first question is :

1. I don't know the ip address of the TMS is there a way to find it out?

2. Where should i register the jabber client? Should i make something in the VCS?

3.Here are some pics from the VCS... can i run jabbervideo client on this VCS?

TMS = Telepresence Management Suite

See http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps11338/

Also see this Youtube clip; http://youtu.be/nDvkegvhHOk

Have you, or your organisation actually got a TMS server?

You need a TMS server and JabberVideo provisioning licenses if you want to use "enterprise" JabberVideo, it otherwise won't work. TMS software and licenses can be purchased from Cisco - you need to install the TMS application on a Windows server.

Hello Jens,

thanks for your replay. One friend from this forum told me that

116341P00-1-63797XX

Device Provisioning

Device Provisioning

this is the key for jabber enterprise. Actualy i don't know if the organization has a TMS server and that is what i'm trying to find out

Thanks !

That is correct, the provisioning key is needed to enable provisioning services on the VCS, however, the VCS receives the provisioning data from TMS, so, to run "enterprise" version of JabberVideo, you need

TMS server with provisioning licenses installed and also Provisioning Extension installed and

VCS with provisioning key installed.

The only option which does not need TMS is the VCS-E startepack;

Thanks Jens,

now i must try to find out is there a TMS server.. You see the boys who have installed the VCS, MCU, IPVCR, ASA, and Cisco 3945 router and there is no TMS server in this room but i don't know if there is an TMS server somewhere else...

Thanks for the answers!

Is there a way to see the entire configuration of the VCS made this year on -03.2013 thanks

The configuration log will be your best bet;

I've tryed to see in the Config Log if the ip of the Extension Manager  has been changed or the TMS Provisioning Extension Service but no there is no change...

Is the extension Manager the road to the TMS Server?

Does the option  TMS Provisioning Extension and the license key

mean that if i find the TMS server then i can register the jabber video enterprise?

THANKS!

Can i build my own telepresense managment suite when i install TMS on win server 2003 will it work propertly?

Sould i have a TMS SERVER different from managment suite?

TMS can be installed either on a physical server or a VM, see the Installation and Upgrade Guide:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/tms/install_guide/Cisco_TMS_install_guide_14-3.pdf and note the pre-requisites - server requirements in particular.

(We refer to the server TMS software is installed on as the "TMS Server")

You need to obtain TMS software from Ciso.

And no, 2003 server is not supported in this release, recommended version for new installatons is 2008 R2 Standard 64 bit.

The provisioning extension; TMSPE, must be installed on the TMS server itself You need to find the TMS server, (if you actually have one), before you can do anything else.

Might be an idea to talk to your local Cisco rep about this perhaps?
