CMS Dual Home Conferencing - Conflict in Domains

Hello all,

I'm looking at configuring dual home conferencing feature for cascading CMS and Microsoft SFB (on-prem) conferences. I'm running into an issue where the CUCM domain is the same as SFB domain. Currently i have the following domains

CUCM/IMP Domain - mycompany.com (This is the external domain advertised for B2B calls). CUCM registered endpoints and Jabber clients are also registered with this domain

SFB Domain - mycompany.com

CMS Space domain - vc.mycompany.com (separate domain was created to route space calls from room video endpoints)

The challenge I have is routing outbound calls to SFB environment as this conflicts with CUCM domain. All the documents I have referred to use a separate domain for SFB which is not in our case.

How do we get around this? What inbound and outbound rules can be configured in CMS to make this work?

I think this integration is only possible when you have different domains for your CUCM and Skype on prem.

Hi Anurag,

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I have seen those documents as well. In this case I'm thinking of proposing gateway calling integration type to the customer where SFB clients can call into Cisco VC Endpoints and CMS spaces.  Below Cisco Live documentation which talks about different options

- Direct Inbound calls from SFB clients to Cisco VC endpoints will land of CMS and CMS will forward to CUCM Domain (VC Endpoints are registered to CUCM)

- SFB clients can also call CMS spaces directly using CMS domain.

Any kind of outbound calls to SFB will not be possible with this. Let me know your thoughts

Hello,

In this case also the skype/ lync domain is different than CUCM.

so first thing you can change your CUCM domain then you can choose any of the scenario.
