Control Precision HD 1080P using LAN port?

Can teh LAN port on teh Precision HD 1080P camera be used for control of teh camera?

and if so, can the second LAN port on teh C-sereis codecs be configured to do this control of the camera?

As it is now, you can use the LAN port on the precision 1080P camera for camera software upgrading, not control of the camera.

As for the C-sereis codec 2nd LAN port, if you are using TC4.x, it can be configured for the touch panel.  Not the control of the camera.

But it would be a useful feature to have: camera control + power over ethernet.

Not only would that be useful, but there are extenders that will take ethernet and HDMI over a single CAT5 cable.
