Controlling Three Camera in Cisco SX80 Touch Panel

Dear All,

Can I control 3 cameras connected in SX80 codec?

As you can see on the attached video, the Camera 1 has the only arrows to control and the other cameras doesn't have.

Is there any options I need to enable in the system configuration to enable the control per camera?

Your kind consideration is highly appreciated.

Regards,

Ed

Hi Ed,

You should be able to.  Often when I have seen this the codec is not fully Pairing with all 3 cameras.  One thing you can try is to enter the serial number of the cameras in the "AssignedSerialNumber" fields for each camera under Setup>Configuration>Cameras.  Verify that the codec has all the cameras Paired by looking in Setup>Peripherals.  Each camera should have an IP address assigned to it, (unless the third camera is connected to the VISCA camera port).  Equally important is that the EDID info from the camera makes it to the video input, which sometimes doesn't happen with some extenders.

I hope that helps.

Thanks!

In addition to what Bob mentions, because you're connecting more peripheral devices than what the SX80 can't support, you should be using a network switch connected to either ethernet port #2 or #3. Make sure this network switch is unmanaged and only connect to the SX80, and not your organization's network.
