Date for recording Cisco camera.

I want to ask I have a camera Cisco my application is SASD advanced video player so I can cut the video there's no issue but I didn't receive in the screen for video the time and date in the screen any one have ideas

Isn't that a function that need to be set in the recording software? Meaning that it is not the camera as such that sets the time of recording, it is the software used to do the actual recording.
