Hello Everyone,
I have been going back and forth with different integrators and none of them seem to really know what specific standards to go by on Displays for Video Conferencing such as refresh, NITS, IPS boards, etc. What they do know is what they want to sell and more times than not they want to sell the highest end digital signage they carry. If we needed 24/7 burn time outside on a mountain top, I would understand. I don't want the consumer flavor of the month grade from the big box stores either. So I see the "Prosumer", "PROlite" lines from the manufacturers as well. But again, when I speak to the manufacturers they stay ambiguous in answering, "What is the recommended line and Specs for Video Conferencing?". So would like to have some feedback.

Any refresh greater than 60FPS should be superfluous since that is the max output rate of the Cisco codec. NITS is perceived brightness. IMO, ~350 is sufficient for rooms without light pollution from external windows; ~500 gives you the headroom to outshine that stuff. I also tend to quote 500 by default, especially in executive spaces for the wow factor, and tell the client the price uplift from the equivalent 350 model so they know where they can trim back if needed.
More importantly, IMO, are displays that the OEM and Cisco have actually tested together. Color space management, reliable display on/off control (purportedly not CEC), automatic input selection, etc. make the room just work, reliably.

Everything here is very helpful information and opinions. I based it on the Cisco approved list. I had the link in some documentation originally but when i misplaced it and had to search it just wouldnt come up no matter how I worded it. Thanks again.
