DIALING ALIAS AND IP ISSUE

Ok need some assist please. 

I have one VCS applicance running x8.5.1 ( I Know old).   Site A

I have systems at site C registered to VCS at site A.   

When I make a call to a site D (Codian Bridge)  via alias it works (Good A/V) 

When I make a call to a site D (Codian Bridge)  via IP Call connects but no Video. 

It's only effecting endpoints at site D that register to the VCS at site A. 

 

When I remote into the system at site C and put system in direct mode and call via IP it works fine ?

Look at the setting on the VCS "calls to unknown IP addresses" - are you set to direct or indirect? If I'm understanding your setup correctly you would want this set to direct, and I believe indirect is the default. 

 

Silly question - why would your users try to dial the IP of the Codian (which then requires using the IVR) when they can alias dial directly to the conference they want?
