I am looking for the setting to enable an endpoints name to be displayed (Example CEO Office ) during a video conference.

I cone through the SIP settings and saw a field for system name and added but the particular endpoint doesn't display its name during conferences.

What kind of endpoint are you using?

For most of the current Cisco endpoints, check "SIP Display name" in SIP settings.  Also make sure the MCU/TP Server is set to show display names in conferences.

Hi

Greetings of the day!

What endpoint are you using - C series, SX series, EX series or MX series?

What is the software version of the Telepresence endpoint?

Are you registering the device to VCS or call manager?

Hello,

The system is a C40 and it's registered to a call manager version TC7.3.2.14ad7cc.

Other endpoints display names are displayed during conferences.

Check the display name in the directory number settings in CUCM

EDIT: Make that Display (Caller ID) and ASCII Display (Caller ID) in the "Line" settings of the directory number

Hi

Thank you for the feedback provided.

Can you share the diagnostic logs once, from both the working endpoint and non-working C40?

Login into webpage, navigate to Diagnostics -> Log files -> from drop down choose "Full Call History", and then click on "Download logs archive".

Regards

Depending on the system type and software version, you might have a field in the SIP settings called "DisplayName", which is the one to use.

Hello,

Yes I saw that setting and applied it but didn't seem to have an effect on what was displayed on screen.

Generally speaking, the display name will not stay on screen for the duration of the call unless you're using an MCU that has been appropriately configured to do so.  This is a per MCU setting, not just per conference, so will affect all conferences through that MCU.

Yes we are using a MCU and the other sites have the display name visible its just this specific endpoint that doesn't have the name displayed. It does however has the SIP address displayed, the numerical segment of the SIP, 14635 not the full SIP 14635@company.com.
