EX60 Audio Issue

Agile Support
Level 1
Level 1

Hi Folks

We are presently installing a bunch of EX60s into a customer site and have noticed that on the last 2 installations of the EX60s this issue below has happened:

We are connecting up the touch panel to the EX 60 via an I.P. address and Not directly to the EX60. When we do this we get NO AUDIO from the Handset and yet the Audio works on Handsfree ok.

If we connect theTouch panel directly to the EX60 then we get Audio from the Handset and aslo handsfree ok...BUT WE NEED to have the touch panel connecting to the unit via an I.P. address.

We are using Call manager as well fyi.

The EX60s both have software level TC5_1_5_297625 .cop.sgn

Has anybody seen this before or can suggest anything...????

Any suggestions would be great !!!

Hello,

what you are seeing is normal behaviour. For the handset to work, the touch needs to be directly connected to the codec. The audio is transported over physical leads between codec <-> touch. If you connect over a LAN, you loose audio from the handset since obviously, the physcial leads are no longer there, only LAN connectivity is provided between codec <-> touch. That's why a touch for systems like SX20 or so do NOT have a cradle/handset.

Nothing that can be fixed here because all works as designed.

Danny.
