Hello All,
We are trying to make B2B calls using Expressway-C and E to call outside domain ,We have Unified CM & IMP 10.5.2 .All SRV DNS records and Public IP Addresses are published on the ISP as MRA is working Perfect. We followed Cisco Validated Design to configure the B2B setup. However, when trying to call any domain outside of the local domain it just keep dialing status without hearing any ringing tone.
I was wondering do I require to have a Public IP Address other than that used for Expressway MRA to make B2B calls. for the License I have Rich media License installed on each expressway C&E.

The single Public IP used for the expressway MRA should be fine.
Are you trying to make the call to like lync b2b or something similar?
If this is to another companies video system then first make sure you have search rules for the any ip and any alias(or create a and the call gets to the correct DNS zone and the domain you are trying to call is resolvable.
If all the above are correct kindly provide the search history and logs.

We are trying to make calls to external VC endpoints using extension@ipaddress but all calls are giving me error "your call can not be completed as dialed". It seems as to be a problem with call search space but this is not the case as the Endpoints, EXP-C SIP trunk and SIP Route Patterns (*) are all in the internal partition and has the right call privilege.
In regard to the search rules, I have below rule which is anything other than the local domain just exclude it and send it to the DNZ zone ,Does this include the extensions@ip.address or not? ,if not do I require to do another search rule to make the any ip and any alias.

Would be good if you could provide the search history in the E for the failed call.

Hello,
Did you able to fix your problem ? I am facing same problem.
When I dial loopback@rtp.ciscotac.net call does not connect. Following is search history of failed call.
Can some one suggest correct transform & search rule for URI dialing as example ?

Hi,
Of course I will preasume that all DNS Host A records as well as SRV records have been published properly on the internet. Firstly, try calling another domain as loopback@rtp.ciscotac.net is not stable sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Also, make sure that you disable the default zone available called "localzonematch" and low down the priority of the search rule of the outgoing and incoming....for example search rule of outbound calls make it 40 and inbound calls make it 30. Personally, after changing these parameter calls worked.

Thank Amr for reply.
LocalZoneMatch is disabled in VCSC. Currently I have one search rule for IP Dialing (10), one for URI Dialing (20) and last one is for to not search for local (101) in VCSC.
Check the attachment from VCSC.
Second thing, I am able to dial only one SIP URI " hdx8000@videocentric.net" not other. I tried loopback@rtp.ciscotac.net its failed.
My VCSE is in Direct mode. Do I need to create transform and search rule for SIP URI in VCSE ? Because for IP Dialing if VSCE is in Direct Mode then no need for search rule.
Following is the search history for successful call to "hdx8000@videocentric.et" and failed to "loopback@rtp.ciscotac.net"
Successful Search History:

Go to Tools/Locate on the Expressway-E and enter the address you are trying to call - is it successful or does the search fail?

Take a look at this deployment guide and see Task 11 to 13 (p.28-32).
Important thing for calling unknown IP address to internet, the call routing from VCS-C to VCS-E should be configured as mentioned in Task 13 (p.30).

Hi Amr
hope this fins you great,
i am going to have such as same project, i will have CUCM , IM&P, VTS , Conductor , Expressway-C and Expressway-E
my question is , is it applicable to have Expressway-C and Expressway-E to have Mobile Remote Access ( MRA ) and SIP URI dialing on the same servers ?
to be able to use MRA and to be able to dial another domains, how the SIP URI calls routed the the other domains?
if yes could you please provide the configuration guides you used?
thanks....

Hi Gharip,
my question is , is it applicable to have Expressway-C and Expressway-E to have Mobile Remote Access ( MRA ) and SIP URI dialing on the same servers ?
++ Certainly, you can have both MRA and B2B functions on the same Expressway-C/E ,however, you need to install RMS Licenses for B2B functionality (noting that for 1 session you need one license on each Expressway server).
to be able to use MRA and to be able to dial another domains, how the SIP URI calls routed the the other domains?
++ I have followed this document It was helpful.
