Was looking around and I see people are using the EX90 in conjunction with a second screen for presentation. I was wondering if you could use it as a second monitor to extend the desktop of a laptop? Multiscreen license is currently installed.

Yes, you can. It's mentioned in the EX Series data sheet in Table 1, listed under "PC and second-source video input". Refer to the EX90 Install Guide on pg 5, you would connect your PC to the HDMI Input, this would also allow you to share your computer screen to others during a video conference as well.
No license is required for this function to work.

The EX90 was designed to use as your second monitor to extend your display from your laptop. You just need to connect your computer video output (VGA or HDMI) depending what's the available port in your computer using the VGA-DVI cable (comes with the unit for PC presentation) or HDMI cable that is sold separately.
No license key needed on your EX90 to make it as your second monitor. It's plug and play.
