We have two brand new out of the box Cisco Room Kit Plus systems. One has had its firmware updated (not the latest version) the other has not. Both have had some configuration settings changed.
The (Cisco furnished) external microphones do not work for either codec.
I reviewed the changes we made and none seem to be something that would cause our problem.
The microphone fails Cisco's built in Microphone Test.
Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, what was your fix?

Thats not normal. IF you connected the mics on the right ports its should work.
If not working i would suggest to do RMA.(Smartnet required )

Yeah...Not normal.
Kind of a 'bang head here' moment. Apparently the mic's that come with the Room Kit Plus are powered. I had turned off "Audio Microphones PhantomPower" for fear that leaving it on might damage third party microphones. Turned this feature back on and everything works fine.
