I have the Polycom and I would like to call to VCSe by use 8001@public ip. I read through the 'IP dialing' section in the VCS Administrator's guide but it explains in part for create search rule on VCSc and define direct or indirect on both. I'm not sure. I need to do something else more or not. Please recommend or post a link concerning.
Polycom ------WAN------ VCSe -----------------VCSc---------------SX20( number is 8001)
From above, I can use another endpoint register on VCSe and call to sx20.

Hi,
I might not have understood clearly; however as per my understanding you want to accept call from polycom device on public network to SX20 which is register to vscc as SIP or H323 endpoint.
I think you need to enable IP dialling on both vsc and vsce so call can go to poly com device as well you need to enable vsce to send call to vscc. This process is explained in vcsc and vsce deployment guide.
Here is the link for the same:
http://www.cisco.com.by.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/vcs/config_guide/Cisco_VCS_Basic_Configuration_Control_with_Expressway_Deployment_Guide_X7-2.pdf. Page 30.
Hope this will help you.

Hi Vivek
Your understanding is correct. I already create search rule "IP dialing" on VCSc and VCSe but polycon still cannot call to 8001@public ip. I think it should be something more than. Thank you.

Hi,
First I would like to confirm whether you see any call coming to VCSE, you can check the same in call history of vcse and search with polycom IP address or sx20 dial uri, if if reaches to vcse, please check whether call is forwarded to vcsc and check whether call is failing to find out polycom IP address.
I would suggest to share call history or search result with us for better understanding.
Regards,
Vivek

The exact configuration needed on the VCS Control and Extressway are completely dependent upon your current configuration and dial. But here is a quick explaination what what you need to do and what to keep in mind. First, are your running SIP, H323, or both. Do you have a SIP domain confgured on your Control and Expressway so that you can use that as a reference to determine calls that are destined for locally registered or non-registered devices? On the VCS, you couls set a trasnform to stip the VCS IP address and change in to the local SIP domain. Your search rules should then be in place to route the call to the internal endpoint.
Some basics as an example:

On VCSc and VCSe running both protocal, used SIP domain.
Polycom is non-registered devices, registered devices does not have a problem.
I think my problem about configuration transform. I will try to your example. Thank you very much.
