I'm attempting to update my firmware to version 6, but when I click "upload" the wheel keeps spinning and spinning. I've successfully upgraded 5 machines using the GUI method but this one is stubborn. Do you think it's a firewall issue? Also, I can only access this particular codec using IE. WHenever iI aattempt to use Google Chrome I get an error message. Should a perform a factory reset of this particular codec?

Hi Darell, Can you try re-downloading the firmware and run the upgrade from firefox browser ? Most of the Cisco applications works fine with firefox.
You can also try starting the upgrade from a dekstop/laptop connected on local lan.
HTH.

Amit,
How exactly do I issue a command using the GUI. The instructions you gave require me to issue a "systemtools rootsetting on" command

Hi Darrell,
to issue this command, you need to access unit through telnet or SSH.
after that you can follow steps to upgrade by WinSCP

I Too Experienced the same Problem, we fixed by Downgrading the Flash player to 9 and IE to 7. It might fix your issue.

Hi Darell, Tera Term is one of the best open source free software terminal emulator which can be used for telnet/ssh into endpoints.
Latest Tera term software can be downloaded fromhttp://en.sourceforge.jp/projects/ttssh2/releases/.
Let us know the upgrade results.
