There's no generic answer for that... different devices store different logs for different amounts of time (or log file lengths).
If it's critical that you maintain something for a particular time periiod, perhaps having the devices send info to a syslog server would be a better approach than relying on the deivce itself - note that you may not get the same level of detail.
