Hi All,

Would just like to know if the codec of profile52 is removable or it is already built in to the base?

We are planning to replace the codec since it was found defective. Thanks

Appreciate your response.

Hello,

Yes. C60 is removaible.

Open the front cover.

Disconnect the wires.

Unscrew the bolts.

It should be removable, but I haven't found any kind of detailed diagram or instructions that go into specifics of the various TelePresence Profile endpoints that might show steps of how to remove the C60, so you're really going to have to just take a look and figure out how to remove it.

Below are the instructions on how to remove the C60 codec for the Cisco TelePresence Profile Dual 52 and 55 system.

To remove the Profile C60 codec, do the following:

Step 1 Open the front panel.

Figure 1-1: Open the Panel
Unscrew Cable Guide

Step 2 Disconnect codec power, camera, LCD, microphone, and other cables. See Figure 2-1.

Step 3 Remove the four mounting bracket Allen screws from the codec with a 2mm Allen wrench. Keep all the screws. See Figure 3-1.

Note Caution:  The two screws on the right bracket (not shown) may be behind the cable bundle. Carefully slip your Allen key through the bundle, being cautious not to damage the cables.

Step 4 Carefully remove the codec from the pedestal cover.

This completes Removing the TelePresence Profile Dual 52 and 55 C60 Codec.
