If you do a search in the TelePresence section of the forums for "SX20 Standalone" you will find many posts discussing these devices and how to configure them when there is no Call Control (CUCM or VCS) involved. One good example is this thread: SX20 Standalone.
Note that the SX10 was only able to be configured for SIP, but H.323 functionality is something that became available in the CE8.2.0 software release.

Just want to point out that per the "Requirements and Recommendations" section of the CMR Cloud Enterprise Deployment Guide (WBS31), standalone SIP endpoints aren't supported by CMR Cloud. The endpoints should be registered to a call control server such as CUCM or VCS so that there is no incompatibility cause with being deployed standalone. Standalone might work, however you might run into issues when connecting, trying to send/receive content, or some other unknown issue.
