Hi Gurus, I am getting SIP error 481 when I called from one video jabber let say J1 to another one let say J2 but J2 doesn't answer and J1 hangs up. normally I would expect J2 stops ringing but it keeps on ringing. I am using jabber 4.6, TMS 14.2 and a single VCS with software 7.2.2. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Is there a misconfiguration in VCS or TMS causing this or? let me know if you need any logs? cheers, Jack

Hi Jack,
This is a known issue/software bug to us CSCue55832. It's a bug with Jabber 4.6 not TMS nor VCS.
This bug is planned to be fixed in future Jabber software release versions.
A workaround would be to downground your jabber to 4.4 or ealier.

Thanks Ahmad for speedy reply. I cannot open the bug link.
what does the link show?
So the problem is with Jabber 4.6 and if I downgraded the jabber, it would work.
Do I also need to downgrade TMS and VCS? do you know when this Jabber bug gets fixed and due release? Thanks again. Jack

you are welcome. I guess you need to open a TAC case to be able to see the bug details. yes, by downgrading to jabber 4.4 or lower you wouldn't have the issue. you would have this problem with jabber 4.5 too.
unfortunately we cannot discuss any timeplan here in the forum but I would suffice to say the due release is in a few months.
If you report your case to TAC, then you can also get updates on bug fix progress.

I will watch out for Jabber new release. I will open a TAC case later to get updates.
Thank you for your answer. I am impressed with the response time in this forum and
would recommended to others. cheers, Jack
