Jabber Video desktop sharing issue

Jabber video 4.6

Can't share desktop application that uses direct show for video.

I see the note in the release notes about certain applications may not work due to API, or adobe air or gtk+.

If the full screen is shared it works most of time but sometimes same issue as when application is shared, just a black window when shared.

Anyone have issues sharing direct show applications?

There might be no change regards that but 4.7 is the latest, so worth trying out.

As you said, there are some kinds of content which can not be shown.

You could try to open a TAC case and report/ask if you do not get a better answer here.

Some further information, the application trying to be shared is written with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) which is part of .NET.  Falls under the Windows API category in the document.

I'm aware 4.7 is out, let me see if that has any change.
