MeetingPlace 8.0 on VMware ESXi

Dear Team,

We installed MeetingPlace 8.0 app server successfully on ESXi.

After the install is complete, we could not ping the MeetingPlace app server.

When checking the Network Device Control option from the Linux GUI, I can see that the ETH0 is in Inactive status. But when using the NET command on the terminal, I can see that the eth0 is active and the IP address is configured correctly.

when trying to ping the IP address of the ETH0 from the server it self (using the terminal), I've got the following error message: "Network unreachable"

Can you please advice?

Did you check your vmnet configuration in ESXi?

like suggested by William, the nic for MPlace should be attached to the vmswitch which connects to the actual physical nics...(provided you have other vm's running on the system )...
