Hi Experts,
Hope you are doing well.
I Just have a query :-
Can we monitor the Cisco Infrastructure Devices using SNMP Server or some other kind of Tool , other than the TMS?
I am already using TMS for monitoring. However, I want to discover other options also.
Looking Forward for your reply.
Thanks,
Saurabh

Greetings Saurabh - I can't think of any Cisco or Legacy Tandberg TelePresence gear that does not support SNMP, including many end-points. These devices allow the provisioning of multiple SNMP community name(s) and SNMP servers. Some of these devices support later SNMP versions V2 and V3. Having said that I see a trend towards replacements to SNMP. SNMP is not secure and limited in scope. Later devices support API calls via XML-RPC over HTTPS. This XML API allows for much greater flexibility and it is secure as well. Search on Cisco.com for the API reference guides. For example here is the latest MCU API programming guide;

Lastly, SNMP is currently the easiest and most readily method to implement.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Charlie

Hi Saurabh, Have you tried Cisco Prime Collaboration Manager. CPCM can be integrated with TMS as well.
