Hi

Movi users passwords are automatically changing and there are unable to login.

Two days before there are able to login with their old passwords from today onwards there are unable to login into Movi.

credentials are sent from the TMS are not matching with the old passwords. They are able login with new passwords.

Why Movi passwords are changing?

TMS Version 12.6.1

VCS version X 5.2

Are these user accounts being created in TMS or imported from Active Directory?

We are importing from the Active Directory.

Maybe Veron can say a bit more about how to debug the import, I could assume that it will show

up in a specific TMS logfile. Then you could see if the ad import is faulty and does a full false import

of these users.

An other thing to check is that the TMS Agent on the TMS and the VCS are the same version

and that the TMS Agent diagnostics does not show any errors.

If you have a firewall in between the TMS and the VCS I would also check if everything is correct there.

I wonder if you change the password in AD if it updates the 'random' password in OpenDS?

Hi Justin!

If I see it right TMS keeps track of the (ad) objectGUID:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms679021%28v=vs.85%29.aspx

As this is a value which should not change and tms does not handle the password from ad

I say: no, it will not update the random password

My best guess in this case is some import hickup (caused by tms or ad) or something

strange regarding the internal replication (vcs<->tms).

An upgrade to TMS13.1, X6.1 and Movi 4.2 could be worth looking into as well as this supports

password auth directly from AD.

But sure, the TMS VCS replication must work for this as well :-)
