Hi,
We have MPLS network that doesn't support multicast. We're installing IPCCTV system on that network that needs multicast. What devices that the IPCCTV contractor needs to add to our network to enable multicast without affecting the MPLS network design or changing the cores.
Any advise?
Thank you

You would need to build GRE tunnels on your WAN routers to encapsulate the multicast packets inside of a unicast packet. This gets very labor-intensive if your company has more than a few sites on the MPLS network.

Hi Jonathan,
The network is geographically spread across more than 500km and it shall support more than 10000 cameras. Would the GRE tunnels be feasible?
Thanks
