After going through the entire setup, this seems unlikely and impossible. Anyone have an idea how to make it work ?

If you use the conductor you could at least define a maximum conference length, so the conference
call gets disconnected after 8 hours or whatever you think should be the max of the conferences.
Besides that you could write yourself some tool which uses the api of the mcu and/or the vcs
and disconnects calls for scenarios you have issues with, like if endpoint in the conference
allone for 10 min: disconnect call.

Hi Martin,
Yes, I am completely aware of the possibilities enabled by the Conductor or scripting on the MCU/VCS and so on. The main problem is that these are all additional financial burden options.
Thanks

There is also the manual way, educate your users to hang up when they are out
as well as go in into the mcu/vcs and disconnect old calls.
You could also file a feature request for some automated disconnect.
Besides that there is no automated way I am aware of.
