For MX 700  firmware upgrade should be done in the endpoint device or in CUCM  ?

For adding MX700 in CUCM 10.5 CUWL license is only requirement  ? Please suggest

Firmware upgrades for video endpoints until TC7.3.x versions will be done on the unit itself using the web interface or via TMS. You can also upgrade it by loading a cop.sgn file on the CUCM as TFTP server where the endpoint will get and boot its software image.

You may refer to below link for the guide on how to upgrade firmware using endpoint's web interface. See page 52.

Upgrading to Collaboration Endpoint Software (CE 8.0) from TC7.3.0 and TC7.3.1 is not supported via the web interface. These software versions have been deferred from cisco.com and are no longer available. Upgrading from these software versions via TMS or CUCM will work

CE 8.0 Release Note:

You would need the TP Room license for you to register MX700 in CUCM and I believe this is included in CUWL licensing scheme.

Refer to Cisco Unified Workspace Licensing with Personal Multiparty Video Ordering Guide under Table 16.
