MX700 dual screen

Hello,

When far end shares content, it displays both source (equal) on one monitor (main) only, instead of shared content displaying on the second monitor.

Second monitor works when presenting locally.

System configuration/video/monitors = Dual

Layout

  • (0 to 100)

Would appreciate any suggestion.

Thanks!

Is the call point-to-point or multipoint using Conductor/TelePresence Server or Meeting Server?

What endpoints are involved in the call, and their software versions?

Hi Patrick,

It's point to point. Initial call was with C40 but issue persists with different codecs. All codecs are on TC7.3.7.01c84fd.

Thanks for taking your time to respond to this.

In addition to the setting "Video Monitors Dual", configure the MonitorRole for each HDMI output as below.

  • Video Output Connector 1 MonitorRole: First
  • Video Output Connector 2 MonitorRole: Second

You can also try and use the Touch 10 to move the content to the second screen by way of drag and drop.

Maybe your issue with presentation during calls is related to H.239(for H.323) or BFCP(for SIP) not being negotiated properly via protocol signaling. On my experience, when the presentation comes in the same screen as the main video channel, it is because the presentation channel (RTP Stream for Presentation) did not open, and it is sent within the main video channel, which would not allow the layout to work as configured, as the RTP stream contains the video of the main channel and the video of the presentation channel.

I do recommend to check at the protocol level with logs, and check the presentation protocol signaling (BFCP or H.239).
